This is so much fun! For the last few months, I’ve been collaborating with my friend, Linda Clark Johnson on a piece that will be included in the Birds & BIkes exhibition at Axis Gallery this October 2026!
The show is organized by fellow artists, including Heather Hogan, Annie Price, and Cara Gregor.
Show Description:
A cohesive experience that blends exhibition, collaboration, and community—celebrating both the art of making and the joy of movement.
Birds & Bikes is a collaborative art exhibition that brings together pairs of artists to explore the poetic and mechanical intersections between nature and motion. Each artist duo or group creates a dialogue across dimensions by producing both 2D and 3D work, responding to the shared theme through their individual practices and a collaborative process.
The pairing of birds—symbols of freedom, flight, and organic movement—with bikes—icons of human-powered motion, engineering, and urban life—invites artists to explore contrasts and connections: instinct and design, air and ground, migration and commute. Together, these works examine how movement shapes identity, environment, and imagination.
I can’t wait for you to see the piece Linda and I have been creating! So please add the opening reception to your calendar now!
