Inside Sacramento Featured Artist - Kate Farrall

It’s finally here, and I’m excited to share it with you! It’s an interview by Inside Sacramento!

A while back, I sent a press release inviting folks to look at the Holiday Gift Guide that I put together as part of the Artist $5k Collective - a group I run through the business coaching side of my practice that supports artists in building their business to generate $ 3- $ 5k per month. Members submitted items for the Gift Guide, and it was a great way for them to practice getting visibility and make some sales! If you’re curious, you can take a look at it here. It was so fun that we’ll probably do it again this year!

While that press release didn’t lead to media mentions of the guide, I was contacted to be interviewed by Inside Sacramento. Yay! I love it when happy, unexpected things like this happen!

Inside Sacramento is also known around these parts as Inside Publications. It’s a print publication that’s been in circulation for 30 years, and it creates several different versions of the publication, each geared toward the different neighborhoods in Sacramento.

The writer, Jessica Laskey, and I spoke for about an hour, and by the end, I felt like she had enough information to possibly write a novel. lol. Luckily, she knows what she’s doing and kept the highlights. It’s now a short 3-5 minute read.

One of the fun by-products of doing this interview is that I get to meet and have a super enjoyable chat with a fellow creative, Linda Smolek, the professional photographer who came out to take this photo in my studio. So much fun!

Read about my creative path, including both sides of my practice - art and art business coaching here. I've always viewed them as elements of the same practice, so it’s nice to see them woven together in this article.

Every month they have new artist spotlights, so I encourage you to pick up a hard copy if you’re in the Sacramento region. Or explore other artist features here! 😊

Make it stand out
